Steps to Apply

Step 1

Review the Requirements

Review the Requirements:

Age: At least 18 years old.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Physical Capability: Ability to perform the essential functions of the trade.

Step 2

Gather Necessary Documents

Final high school transcript or GED certificate.
Valid photo identification (e.g., driver’s license).
For veterans: submit a copy of your DD214.
Additional supporting documents (optional but beneficial):
- Certifications or specialized training records
- Resume
- Letters of recommendation

Step 3

Submit Documentation

All documents must be submitted simultaneously.
Ensure that steps 1 and 2 are complete before you begin uploading your documents.

Step 4

Complete Online Application

Fill out and submit the online application form.
Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email.

Step 5

Interview Process

Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview with a subcommittee of the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC).

Step 6

Ranking and Acceptance

After the interview, applicants are placed on a list and ranked based on interview and documentation scores:

Rankings are accessible the month following your interview.
Accepted candidates will be notified via phone and email.
